There are two alternative arrival airports that service the regatta region; Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport which has domestic and international flights and Hong Kong International Airport.

From Shenzhen Bao'on International Airport (SBIA)

A special Hobie 16 World Championship Shuttle Bus service is being arranged to and from (SBIA). These buses will only travel at designated times and will require competitors to register their desire to travel on a specific shuttle bus (so that enough seats are available). The proposed Shuttle bus schedule for the 28th May, 1st June, 4th June & 7th June can be found at the link below.

Other Options

(SBIA) to Dapeng by Taxi (flexible and reasonably priced, but expect long taxi queues and a driver who only speaks Chinese. The best option is to have a printed copy of the accommodation address in Chinese to show the driver )
(SBIA) to Dapeng by Private Limousine (the ultimate way to go if you want to save time and not have to worry about the confusing details. It’s the fastest method. Usually English speaking drivers. The most costly method but reasonably priced with a number of people sharing the cost – Pre booking required and the driver will meet you as you exit your flight).

From Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)

Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen and Dapeng by Taxi (flexible and reasonable price, long taxi queues, difficult border crossing, most drivers only speak Chinese. You will have to get out of the taxi at the border crossing, carry your luggage through customs and hire another taxi on the other side of the border to reach Dapeng. The best option is to have a printed copy of the accommodation address in Chinese to show the driver)
Hong Kong to Shenzhen and Dapeng by Private Limousine (the ultimate way to go if you want to save time and not have to worry about the confusing details, the fastest method, there is no need to get out of vehicle at the border crossing, the most costly method but reasonably priced with a number of people sharing the cost – Pre booking is required and the driver will meet you as you exit your flight at the airport).
From (HKIA) to Shenzhen by Public Bus and Metro. (low cost – very long travel time – on and off multiple times – easy to get confused – very inconvenient – not advisable)
(HKIA) to Shenzhen by Cross-Border Coach Services (Relatively cheap, well organised, inconvenient with heavy luggage as you have to get off and carry luggage at border crossing, But you will then also have to catch a taxi from Shenzhen to the event site a further 1 1/2 hrs)
(HKIA) to Shenzhen by SkyPier Ferry (from the ferry terminal at (HKIA) travel to Bao’on Airport – a time consuming trip. From there catch the special worlds shuttle bus, if times match, or alternatively take a taxi or a pre-booked limousine to the Dapeng event site a further 1 1/2 hrs travelling)
