A hearty breakfast before another day’s work in stunning conditions

It’s just turned 7am and the factory team for the Hobie® 16 World Championships are gathering in the resort hotel’s western restaurant to enjoy a hearty breakfast before going to the event site for another day of work.
“I love my breakfast” said Jacque Bernier for Hobie Cat Company in the USA, after bringing back to the table his third course for the morning. I need a hearty breakfast and the resort hotel has everything I desire, waffles, baked beans, omelettes, bacon and occasionally I’ll even eat cereals and even fresh fruit. I am really fortunate that I’m able to eat as much as I like and still maintain this stunning figure.”
In Dapeng this morning the skies are relatively clear with just a little cloud cover. A consistent 10kt breeze is already blowing across the bay from the NE due to a high-pressure system that is shrouding the area. Conditions are expected to remain the same throughout the day with some rain forecast to roll in from inland China over the next day or so, which should also bring with it monsoonal winds. It appears that a predictable weather pattern has been developing throughout the region and it is one that should suit everyone’s hope for an excellent series.
The numbers arriving at the world’s resort will start to swell today as more and more officials and staff arrive on site. The first competitors to be shuttled in from Shenzhwen Bao’an International Airport will begin to arrive on Saturday and their arrival should trigger an atmosphere not previously experienced in Dapeng.
